Day 3: Rome - Assisi - Siena - Florence
Following the breakfast at your hotel, you will have a welcome brief with your tour leader before departing around 7:30 am from your hotel to Assisi. Upon arrival, you will have some time at leisure to explore this historic town surrounded by walls built in the Middle Ages.
After a light lunch in Assisi, you will continue to Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for the Palio, a historical horse race around the shell-shaped town square Piazza del Campo. Before moving towards Florence, you will enjoy some free time in Siena to discover the medieval city center. Check in at your hotel before having dinner at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Florence. (Breakfast - Light Lunch)
Day 4: Florence
Breakfast at the hotel. Today, you will meet your local guide for an exciting tour of Florence, known as “The Cradle of the Renaissance.” Learn how this city, with its Etruscan-Roman roots, blossomed and emerged as a vibrant center of art and culture. During your guided tour, marvel at the stunning Santa Maria del Fiore, or the Duomo, with its remarkable dome. You will see the iconic Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and the beautiful exterior of the Basilica of Santa Croce, all while immersing yourself in the rich history that defines this enchanting city.
Enjoy your lunch at a typical Tuscan restaurant before spending the afternoon at leisure (return transfer to the hotel not included). You can explore the cobblestone streets of Florence or choose an optional trip to Pisa (approximately 50 euros per person, payable in cash). In Pisa, you will visit the Piazza dei Miracoli, home to the Duomo, the world-famous Leaning Tower, and the Baptistery. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel in Florence. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 5: Florence - Bologna - Venice

From the Piazza Malpighi, you will walk to the Piazza del Nettuno and the Piazza Maggiore in the heart of the city, then you will see the Palazzo Podestà and finally the Basilica of San Petronio, one of the biggest Gothic churches in the world. Bologna is a true food lover’s paradise. Experience an authentic and light street food lunch, savoring the authentic flavors that define its renowned gastronomic identity.
Later in the afternoon, you will arrive in Venice, "The City of Love", one of the most romantic cities in the world and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities on Earth! Dinner at leisure and overnight at your hotel in Venice. (Breakfast - Light lunch)

You will then have some free time to discover this city before making your way to Rome. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Rome. (Breakfast-Lunch)
Day 8: Rome
Following an early morning breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a guided morning tour of the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel, using your "Skip the Line" tickets. Upon arrival, your local guide will take you through one of the world's most significant art collections. You’ll stroll through the stunning Galleries of Tapestries and Geographical Maps, admire Raphael’s Rooms, and marvel at the Sistine Chapel, completed in the 16th century. The tour will conclude in St. Peter's Square.
You will then enjoy lunch at your leisure before making your own way (either by public transportation or taking a taxi) to the most emblematic site of Ancient Rome: The Colosseum. You’ll join the meeting point and embark on a 3-hour guided tour that will take you back in time, allowing you to envision life as a Roman citizen over 2,000 years ago. You’ll explore the Flavian Amphitheater, where Ancient Romans once watched thrilling events such as gladiatorial combats and staged animal hunts, and learn more about how they spent their leisure time. Next, you’ll continue to the Palatine Hill, where Rome was founded and where emperors once lived, before discovering the Roman Forum, the pulsating heart of Ancient Rome, with its remarkably well-preserved ruins. You will then enjoy your evening at leisure and return to your hotel on your own. Overnight at your hotel in Rome. (Breakfast)

You will discover the captivating ruins of Pompeii, stepping back in time to the significant events of 79 AD. Experience the fascinating history of this once-thriving Roman city, which was preserved by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. As you explore the remnants of ancient life, you'll gain insight into the resilience and culture of the people who lived there, making for an unforgettable journey into the past. Clara was the best tour guide we ever met!! Always in a good mood, always had easy solutions to any problem, always had great ideas for things to see and do when we had free time. Overall, the tour was well planned, skip the line tickets, food, transfers between locations, and best of all was Clara, our new friend in Italy. Don’t miss this tour!!! We are so happy we took this one!!!

Sabrina our guide was truly amazing, as was Gianni our driver. The itinerary was challenging, but so worth it, because it gave us a full opportunity to experience so many regions and discover what we loved and where we would like to return. Thank you!

Interested in cruise options for the fall 2024, to Greece.
Is there a "hurricane season" in that part of the world? Thanks

In summary we did have a very lovely time. It was however, very fast paced, if a few days were added and the tour was a little slower it would be more appreciated.
I also think that a tour of how Olive oil is made would have been an excellent benefit. As well as a Wine Tour and how it's made as well. It was a wonderful time for sure, great memories. We could not have asked for a better driver, Luigi was the best! And our tour guide Patrizia was knowledgable and a delight.
